"The Twelve Days of Christmas" is generally agreed to be  a really bad place to seek gift-giving inspiration.  No one wants that many birds at one time, and twelve drummers would just wreak utter havoc on your house.  So what do you actually do to make your true love's Christmas a happy one, without drowning them in dancers and pipers and swans?  Allow us to make a few suggestions...

Stocking Stuffers

This sweet Twelve Days-themed mug is a totally acceptable way of telling someone you love them enough to do the crazy bird-and-drummer thing, and it will not make their post-Christmas life miserable. Pick out some tea to go with it, and you're golden!

The Gift Exchange

Of course, if you're presenting someone with loose-leaf tea, it's a good idea to make sure they have a strainer to put it in.  A creamer and sugar bowl are nice touches too.  This set emulates vintage milk glass, which we guarantee that at least one of your friends collects. (Plus, there's that whole "eight maids a-milking" tie-in... okay, that's a stretch. We tried.)

The Whole Package

Is this tiny teapot too small for a tea-for-two setup? Indubitably.  But it does make an adorable centerpiece, and works great for a private cup in the afternoon.  Throw in a wintry cookie cutter and a checkered towel, and you'll have a gift that will last far longer than twelve measly days.
